Bermuda triangle

I was working last week and it was not too busy so I had my phone in my scrubs pocket. I had just talked to Cody when the nurses asked me to come help move a patient to a baribed. This patient is over 500 lbs and is ventalated and sedated, there was a team of us and quite a bit of comotion. This was his second bed move as the bed company originally brought the incorrect bed. The move was succesful and the bed company removed the previous used bed. Shortly after I realize I am missing my phone. I frantically look everywhere. My phone is nowhere! The family of the patient even tries to call my phone to see if it is somewhere in the room, NOTHING! We call the bed company and they say they have not seen it. I go home a little depressed that I am going to have to buy another new phone. Early the next morning I recieved a call from our unit clerk stating the bed company had found my phone and brought it back. She offered to clean it with alcohol wipes and I happily told her I would be in shortly to get it. When I got there I mentioned to one of the nurses what had happened and he said it is the new bermuda triangle...he had lost his badge in the patients bed during the first bed move. Hopefully we won't loose any good nurses in the bermuda triangle.

Update on kicking butts

So I noticed Stacie commented about letting Trent bring his gun home when Addie got to be this age. Funny, Cody just bought a new gun! LoL. However, I must say I am completly anti-gun! I won't even touch one. He is trying to bring me around to the idea, but no luck. He is so cute with the girls about the gun thing. Teaching them all about it and making it so not scary or intriuging for them. Babe, I so appreciate that!!!! I really doubt I will ever overcome my fear and loathing of the gun. So for all you gun owners, keep them away from me. I will just kick butt the old fasioned way. Thank goodness these tween fights only last a few days. We are back in shady acres here in the McCallister home. Of course that might be because the kids are currently sleeping!

Could this movie really be any longer?

Cody and I decided last night that we would watch a movie, I had rented American Gangster. It looked like a show we would both enjoy. It was a little slow but I hoped it would liven up as the story looked very interesting. Two hours into this movie (felt like 6) Cody finally spoke what we were both thinking..."I can't take anymore of this." So I check to see how much longer we have, thinking to myself, maybe 20 more minutes. Oh no another hour..YIKES! We were already had been watching for 2 hours. So we turned it off and I once again became the navigator for Codys scraface game. Which, honestly was a lot more fun. The movie was a good thought. Definiatley not enough action or real drama. It just needed to move along a bit faster. Maybe I will watch the last hour tonight just to see how it ends.

No news is good news!

Officially I think I may be the most boring person on earth. I am sitting here at a peds clinical and realize I have not posted since the 22nd of Febuary. So I rack my brain to try and come up with some sort of funny or interesting story and am completly drawing a blank. WOW am I cool or what? The only thing interesting lately is Abby has had quite a run of drama with this new group of friends. It sure is hard to not only watch your little girl grow up but to watch her have to expierance the pain and heart ache that the real world has to offer. Unfortunatly, we can not protect them forever. Mama Bear and Papa Bear sure wanted to though!! I could just kick those little b**ches buts!!
